Breeding Program
Current Plans

Sprite pups are excelling in a variety of dog sports, including schutzhund, ringsport, agility, tracking, obedience, herding, sledding, and dock diving!
I will breed Cisu in June 2010 for her last litter. Puppies to whelp in August of 2010.
Cisu is a solid bitch with excellent health, sound nerves, a calm demeanor, good energy and focus for work, and a positive attitude. She has approximately 30 points towards her Obedience Trial Championship (OTCH) with two of her three first place awards. She has several high in trial awards in both schutzhund and AKC. In agility she shows world class times on the obstacles. In schutzhund she is SchH3 and "v" rated (excellent) in all three phases of schutzhund - obedience, protection and tracking. She is an exceptional tracking dog with a calm, methodical style, earning a score of 97 and a 'v' rating in her FH title. Introduced to Search and Rescue (rubble) late in life, she showed the confidence, agility, persistence, and hunt drive needed to be highly successful - only her owner's lack of time prevented her from becoming a certified dog.
If you are looking for a competent dog for any working application or sporting endeavor, Cisu is likely to produce it. Busy with her own working career, Cisu has been bred only one time. In the resulting litter, five of her offspring have earned schutzhund titles; all are rated "excellent" in protection with different trainers around the country. She is the mother of "Tilt", 2nd overall in 2008 and 3rd overall in 2009 at the AKC agilty invitationals in the extremely competitive 20" class. Cisu is also the grandmother of "Wings", winner of the 2009 USDAA Nationals Steeplechase; the only non-border collie ever to win this class. Cisu's son Quake runs Flyball at 3.8 seconds; a record for tervuren. She also has offspring titled in tracking, obedience, and personal protection. In every venue attempted, Cisu puppies have proven to be exceptional. They are stable, social, highly affectionate, calm in the home but energetic in work, intelligent, and a pleasure to train.
To complement Cisu, I'm looking for a 100% working line Tervuren male who is healthy, athletic, well structured, confident, social, and with good breed type for a working line dog. I have a few males in mind, but will make final decision closer to June when I expect Cisu in season.
Please contact me if you are an experienced handler looking for a highly competitive working or sporting dog.
The Sprite Breeding Program
If you are considering a Belgian Tervuren puppy, please consider that my breeding program focuses primarily on improving the performance qualities of the Belgian Tervuren rather than the physical show characteristics. However, these pupppies should have sweet expressions, proper coats with rich color and dark overlay, and somewhat longer bodies than found in show Tervuren you may have seen. I expect excellent construction (angulation, shoulder, neck).
Please read "About the Breed" for more information about what you should expect from a working line Belgian Tervuren. If you find that this temperament appeals to you, please contact me at 650-851-1757 or e-Mail: dfenzi@comcast.net.
